Planting Our Mint

It is time to plant our mint! We will be growing and tending to this for the next few months as we learn about how plants grow and what we can do for our communities with the plants around us.

Caring for your freshly planted seeds:

Your seeds need to stay warm so that they can sprout! Think about a baby. Do they like to be cold? Can they grow their biggest when they are comfortable and fed well? Your plant is the same! Keep it in a warm (not hot) spot and give it food! When they are seeds, plants need water as their food. Make sure you are not over watering your plant - just like a baby, when they get fed too much, they don't feel very good.

Check out this time-lapse of mint seed growing just like we are doing!

Dont forget:

If a concept is confusing, rewatch the video, ask a friend, and then ask one of the teachers for further clarification if necessary.

New concepts are hard at first!
